Diablo 4: Best Necromancer Skills Leveling |

If a Necromancer is well strong enough, that will help you take on challenging endgame content alone and come through unscathed in Diablo 4. It's not without costs, though. If you want to get the most out of the Necromancer build, you can't overlook vital skills upgrades like Corpse Explosion and Raise Skeleton. So in this article, we will show you can turn it into the most powerful class by upgrading specific skills!
1. Bone Spirit
This skill consumes all of your Essence to conjure a spirit that seeks out enemies. Upon contact with enemies, the spirit deals area damage based on the Essence consumed. So despite Bone Spirit not being an Ultimate Skill, this Summoning Skill has enormous presence and gravitas. You can upgrade to Enhanced Bone Spirit, and then the last upgrade, you will choose between Dreadful Bone Spirit or Ghastly Bone Spirit; it will not only reduce the skill's cooldown and have an increased chance to critic, respectively. On the other hand, it generates Essence after its attack, making up for everything consumed to launch it in the first place.
2. Blight
Blight should be one of the first skills selected in any Necromancer build. Blight increases the damage dealt to the enemies by inflicting the Slow effect on them with its enhanced upgrade. Paranormal Blight isn't too bad either, as Blight has a chance to Immobilize enemies. Blight is powerful up close, at range, or even just through the pools of AoE damage, making it one of the best Necromancer skills.
3. Corpse Explosion
Corpse Explosion is one of several instigators of chaos within the class — targeting and blowing up interactable corpses with devastating effects. Corpse Explosion's various modifiers can add more depth to the skill besides damage boosts. On the other hand, releases a vile miasma instead of exploding the corpses — dealing Shadow damage in a cool twist on the skill. Corpse Explosion is so much more complex than mindless explosions and should be an upgrading priority.
4. Army Of The Dead
This skill offers an army of Skelton warriors, Skeleton mages, and a powerful Golem from the ground to support you in defeating the enemies. If you merge Raise Skeletons with Corpse Explosion, Volatile Skeletons emerge and explode around enemies to deal devastating damage. As with any Ultimate Skill, Army of the Dead has modifiers that make it even more powerful. Prime Army of the Dead has a chance of leaving a corpse behind when the Volatile Skeletons explode, while the Supreme modifier raises Skeletal Warriors and Mages when activated.
5. Raise Skeleton
Raise Skeleton isn't a traditional Necromancer skill. It exists at the start without needing to be equipped and has its own unique upgrades. Necromancers can use Raise Skeleton to interact with certain corpses and summon them to help with all the fighting. Skeletal Warriors can be molded into Skirmishers, Defenders or Reapers. When they are unlocked, Skeletal Mages come in Shadow, Bone, and Cold. Even the mighty Golems come in different upgradable forms once unlocked at level 25, in Bone, Blood, and Iron. Raise Skeleton embodies the Necromancer, and it would be a waste not to explore it further.
6. Blood Mist
Blood Mist may not be as good, but it certainly helps in a pinch. It allows Necromancers to transform into a Blood Mist, rendering them immune for a few seconds, and deals damage while simultaneously regaining health. Players can reduce the cooldown of Blood Mist by casting an Overpower Skill while it's active. They can even leave several corpses behind with the Ghastly modifier. Dreadful Blood Mist then acts as the Defensive Skill of the piece, granting temporary Fortify with each enemy hit.
7. Decrepify
Curse Skills deserve more recognition within Necromancer builds. Just because they don't deal outright damage themselves doesn't mean that they don't offer security and support. Decrepify slows down foes it affects and even reduces their damage simultaneously. The Enhanced modifier adds a higher chance of Stunning them, Abhorrent can reduce cooldowns, while Horrid Decrepify can mean instant death for foes below a certain threshold. Decrepify can be criminally overlooked and should certainly be upgraded.
8. Bone Spear
To do the most damage, you'll need the Bone Spear core ability. The Bone Spear combines pure damage output with vulnerability to absolutely destroy anything you encounter in Diablo 4. Bone Spear is limited to a linear path when fired, but it hits hard for 85% and can be further enhanced. When destroyed, the Enhanced modifier splits the Bone Spear into three extra shards, which immediately solves that straight-line problem. On top of that, the Paranormal Bone Spear can fire more shards with a crit, while the Supernatural modifier makes foes vulnerable.
