Stretch and Grebeshkov put Oklahoma City ahead 3-1 early in the second period, but Abbotsford responded with power-play goals less than a minute apart to tie the game. Hanowski scored first with the man advantage at 8:59 while Travis Ewanyk served a minor for interference. Street then scored his first goal of the game at 9:58 as Linus Omark sat in the box for interference. Despite the Heat carrying the momentum, Hamilton scored at 14:11 to give the Barons a 4-3 lead heading into the final period. Street tied the game for the Heat 6:22 into the third and then scored the eventual winner 27 seconds later. Abbotsford went 2 for 4 on the power play while Oklahoma City was 0 for 1.
