Often a love it or hate it material for sneakers, denim drapes this latest version of the womens Nike Air Max 90 Ultra. Yes indeed, the classic runner is the latest sneaker to get the blue jean makeover, dressed in two shades of blue denim across the upper thats paired with the models signature neoprene bootie and rubber heel cradle. Premium touches include metal lace eyelets, a stamped Huarache logo patch on the tongue, waxed laces, and a gum outsole that finishes them off perfectly.
The Nike Air Huarache Ultra is one of Nikes most heralded silhouettes. It further cemented its iconic lifestyle history thanks to its cameo in Forrest Gump and now Nike Sportswear is updating the 1972 creation with its latest technology. While weve seen Roshe crossovers in the past, Ultra Moire-inspired lightweight tooling on the outsole, and more, the Nike Cortez Flyknit is a creation unlike any other in the 40 years of the Cortez. The woven Flyknit material adds a new slip-on construction for a modern twist with a new EVA midsole cushioning platform with just the right amount of leather touches near the laces.
In a year full of exciting advancements from Nike Cortez Ultra line with the Nike VaporMax, the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1, the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 97 the Nike Air Max 90 has taken an understandable back seat to let those models shine. Luckily, the old standby will be returning in a number of new colorways for Fall 2017. After a preview of the Rebel Skulls colorway earlier this week, another mostly black pair is headed to select stores in the Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 formula.
Were long past the days of Nike Air Max Zero retro madness back in 2013 and 2014, but Nike Sportswear is still making Tinker Hatfields 1991 classic a relevant model through modern reinterpretations like the lightweight and breathable Nike Air Huarache Ultra. Today we get a look at the Huarache Ultra in a simple and subtle Igloo/Pure Platinum combination with a breathable white mesh on the forefoot and a black heel strap that brings back memories of the original.
It appears that polka dots will be a reoccurring motif for Nike in early 2015, as weve already spotted the dotted pattern on a number of models including the Nike Air Force 1 High Stefan Janoski, the Nike KD7 EXT, and even a whole pack from Nike Sportswear dedicated to the pattern, aptly named the Polka Dot Pack. Now the classic Cortez gets in on the fun, with this special polka dotted edition just for the ladies.
